Aah, Mr and Mrs Hughes. I'm not sure mere words can convey the epic magnitude of your wedding day. From start to finish it was one incredible event after another. From screaming bridesmaids at the big reveal, to the veil blowing away in the wind, to a stunning choreographed first dance and epic romantic portraits, and I'm so thankful that I was the one to capture it for you.
From the moment I met this couple I sensed it was going to be something special, and so I brought in my favourite second shooter Birgitta Zoutman to make sure nothing was missed (and she did a sterling job, thanks B!).
The ceremony took place at Clive Church, just up the road from Sophie's family home Shooters Hill Barns, where a beautiful marquee was set up for the reception in front of the garden pond, stunningly decorated with swaths of greenery, trees, rose gold centrepieces and charger plates against a pure white backdrop. The effect was breathtaking and the perfect setting for the hundreds of family and friends who were lucky enough to attend.
Sophie and Ivor are such a kind-hearted and sweet pair, bursting with joy and loved by everyone who knows them (which is a heck of a lot of people!). They were totally up for anything when it came to having their photographs taken, and it was completely their idea to go up to the Grinshill viewing point between the ceremony and reception for some epic shots on the cliff edge, way to go guys for marching up there in all your finery! It was totally worth the trek, as you will see as we scroll down and take a look at this EPIC wedding! Enjoy.
Thank you SO much Sophie and Ivor for being so amazing and having me photograph your wedding day.
Big big love!
