Liz and Rob heard about me and my work through a friend's wedding I shot back in 2014. I remember the day well, the couple were insanely good fun and the day was filled with laughter and a good dollop of silliness, so I expected nothing less from this pair....I wasn't wrong! It must be these rural Shropshire villages. Full of crazy people (only joking...sort of)! It was bound to be a belter of a wedding since the beginning.
The day began at the couples home in Burlton where both Liz and Rob were getting ready with their boys and girls in separate locations. The beers were already flowing between Rob and his chaps which might explain why it took them so long to put on their bow-ties, proudly made by Rob's mum. While over the road at Burlton Cottages, Liz and her favourite ladies were getting ready in a slightly more sensible manner, with Carly from The Secret Salon in charge of hair keeping them all in order.
The ceremony took place at Myddle church, and I was lucky with to be shown into the bell tower to get a birds-eye view while the couple said their vows. The smiles they gave when they first set eyes on each other was a wonderful thing and I'm so glad I caught it for them to keep forever. After the ceremony they were quickly whisked away back to Burlton to the tremendous decorated marquee for lashings of beer and prosecco, followed by afternoon tea and some absolutely fantastic speeches!
The day ended on a big high with spirits soaring (!!) and Liz and Rob were treated to a surprise song written all about them and completley taking the mickey, which was met with rapturous applause before they took to the dancefloor. Those guests did some of the craziest dancing I've ever witnessed!
From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much Mr and Mrs Benson for having me be a part of your incredible day, it was just too much fun!
