Now I'm lucky enough to have known Hannah for a very very long time, she and my sister Hannah (confusing I know!) have been best friends since they lived in halls together at university. I smile whenever I call her Hannah because to my family and nearly everyone else, for some unknown reason, she is known as Windy!! I did my best to avoid calling her that on the most beautiful day of her life, but I have to admit it was a real struggle!
I was delighted to have been asked to photograph this wedding, apart from it being fun to shoot the wedding of a friend, it just sounded so totally gorgeous! A unique little venue nestled in the sandstone streets beautiful Burford, a colour palette of grey, white and greenery with added sparkle, a sunshiny frosty day, two stunning brides in two amazing dresses. Yes please!
This wedding was truly lovely. Unique, happy and special and sprinkled with class. A real treat for the photographers eye. I loved the addition of a game of chance in order to decide which bride would walk down the aisle first, where each guest dropped a polka chip into a board and whichever side had the most chips got to walk in last (for the record, Hannah won). Such a good idea!
And what a lovely surprise it was to arrive in Burford after such a long drive to discover the couple had hired one of my favourite Shropshire videographers, Andy at Cam 3, to shoot the day alongside me despite not being from Shropshire themselves. Altogether it was a recipe for a truly great day!
I hope you enjoy looking at this totally beautiful wedding as much as I enjoyed being there to witness it. Happy viewing!
My biggest and most sincere thanks to the lovely Mrs and Mrs Coverdale for having me be the one to capture your utterly GORGEOUS day, what an honour!
