I've been thinking a lot about family recently and how important these people are to me. Recent big changes in my life have forced me to re-access a lot of things and really look at what means the most in my world.
I am privileged to have come from a big and very loving family who gave me the most amazing childhood. My parents are still together and I am the youngest of the four Bowes children, and in the last four years our family has grown even more wonderful with the arrival of my three utterly beautiful nieces.
I try to take as many, what I call 'proper' photographs as I can (i.e using my SLR and not my phone) and although it takes a touch more effort than whipping a device out of my pocket, it is always worth the extra struggle to have such those memories captured so beautifully. My Mum was keen on photography and documented our early years with so much care and attention to detail, that she really did set the standard for what I consider to be 'The Family Album'. I'll always be grateful for that.
I don't often share every day photographs from my personal life with those who don't know me, but just for you today I shall share some of my favourites from recent months as a celebration of these strong, incredible and happy people I call my tribe...and possibly a few of my dog.
