Ah, Barney and Kayleigh, what a super sweet couple you are!
From the second I met these two I liked them instantly, I loved the way they're perfectly synced together, like yin and yang. Barney the friendly showman, Kayleigh the reserved and thoughtful beauty (who gets extra points for being just as mad about Disney as I am!).
Kayleigh made it clear from the beginning that having her photograph taken wasn't really top on her list of favourite things to do, so the day was mostly captured candidly. I felt very honoured indeed that she spent just a couple of minutes in front of my lens, but she looked so utterly gorgeous I wasn't going to let let her get away from me that easily! She did brilliantly despite her nerves so thank you Kayleigh for being so brave, I hope you agree that it was worth it.
They met through rock music at the Download Festival, and chose a striking black and red colour scheme to reflect their alternative tastes, matched with stunning candelabra centrepieces and bright floral arrangements. I always love when couples don't just go for the norm and try something different to suit them just right, and I'm so glad they were bold enough to just go for it as the finishing effect really was beautiful, more like a moody candlelit dinner in a Gothic castle than a hotel in Kegworth. I loved their addition of personalised trading cards for every single guest as wedding favours, it must have taken them hours to make! But as their families and friends walked into the reception they were clearly delighted to find their own humorous personal touch made just for them, a great idea.
Thank you Mr and Mrs Hall for having me capture your day, it really was a lovely one to be a part of.
