Ah, Barney and Kayleigh, what a super sweet couple you are!
From the second I met these two I liked them instantly, I loved the way they're perfectly synced together, like yin and yang. Barney the friendly showman, Kayleigh the reserved and thoughtful beauty (who gets extra points for being just as mad about Disney as I am!).
Kayleigh made it clear from the beginning that having her photograph taken wasn't really top on her list of favourite things to do, so the day was mostly captured candidly. I felt very honoured indeed that she spent just a couple of minutes in front of my lens, but she looked so utterly gorgeous I wasn't going to let let her get away from me that easily! She did brilliantly despite her nerves so thank you Kayleigh for being so brave, I hope you agree that it was worth it.
They met through rock music at the Download Festival, and chose a striking black and red colour scheme to reflect their alternative tastes, matched with stunning candelabra centrepieces and bright floral arrangements. I always love when couples don't just go for the norm and try something different to suit them just right, and I'm so glad they were bold enough to just go for it as the finishing effect really was beautiful, more like a moody candlelit dinner in a Gothic castle than a hotel in Kegworth. I loved their addition of personalised trading cards for every single guest as wedding favours, it must have taken them hours to make! But as their families and friends walked into the reception they were clearly delighted to find their own humorous personal touch made just for them, a great idea.
Thank you Mr and Mrs Hall for having me capture your day, it really was a lovely one to be a part of.

Years and years ago, Becky and I were both bridesmaids for a mutual friend of ours. Somehow after all this time she remembered I was a wedding photographer, and despite living 114 miles away in Milton Keynes she got in touch out of the blue and asked me to shoot her wedding, of course I said yes!
Being so far away I wasn't able to meet this couple together beforehand which I have to admit I was a little nervous about, however there was no need as Becky was just as sweet and lovely as I remembered, and Nathan too was a great chap. Together this couple were adorable, hilarious and charming, and also infamous for being the smoochiest, loveydovey-ist people on earth!! They were CRAZY about each other, like seriously nuts, and it was a total delight to photograph this special pair and the way they just laughed and laughed, and smooched, and laughed again.
They chose beautiful fresh Springtime florals and very luckily had the weather to match (considering the time of year this really was a blessing). There was a theme running through the day of Becky's favourite childrens books, herself being an illustrator and textile designer (Bobbin & Belle is her super cute company, check it out!), as well as a general feel of fun and silliness by giving all the guests brilliant party hats to wear and topped off with a giant version of the classic Caterpillar cake. All their guests commented that it represented them and their daft side perfectly! That to me makes a great wedding.
This wedding really was very special and one I wont be forgetting in a hurry. Lets take a look!
Thank you SO much Becky and Nathan for having me capture your brilliant wedding, I hope our paths cross again in the future at some point!

Lizzy and Steve booked me so far in advance of their big day that I can't exactly remember when it was! The wedding was a long time coming, and with two beautiful little girls and a happy home established they were more than ready to finally walk down the aisle. They were blessed with a glorious frost and Winter sunshine, crisp and fresh, exactly what Lizzy wished for when I met her for the pre-wedding consultation. It was obviously meant to be!
I hadn't shot at Albrighton Hall for some years and I was really pleasantly surprised at the incredible refurbishment it's undergone since I was last there, it truly is a beautiful venue and was the perfect place for this couple to celebrate their love. Lizzy chose a gorgeous colour palette of burgundy and deep pinks, contrasted with subtle dusky creams. The flowers by Julie Nicholas, were by far some of the most beautiful I have EVER seen. They really were incredible, I must have taken a hundred pictures of them alone! Everything about this wedding was stunning and the new Mr and Mrs Peever were a complete joy to photograph.
Thank you so much Lizzy and Steve for having me capture your gorgeous wedding day!
With thanks to...
