The best word I can use to describe Simon and Amanda's wedding is definitely 'classy'. The moment I met them a year before at their beautifully immaculate home (the couple are both self-confessed neat freaks!) I could tell their big day would be nothing short of perfection. You might think perfect means 'stuffy', thankfully this was anything but that. It was a day packed with family, friends, laughter, joy, music, and a whole lot of fun that myself and my lovely assistant for the day Birgitta Zoutman were the lucky ones to capture it all for them.
Every tiny detail of their classic neutral shades theme was meticulously planned and thought about, from the glass beads in tall vases for the stunning gyp, rose and hydrangea arrangements by Rebecca Rees at Flowerbug, to the delicate patterns on the beautiful grey and white cake by Copthorne Cakes, all under a stunning canopy of over 5000 warm white fairy lights across Pimhill's ancient wooden beams. Guests were entertained by the soothing sounds of Jordan Brown through the afternoon while enjoying sweets from the home-made candy cart, and dazzled later on by the brilliant entertainment from DJ and saxophonist Dan Goode and his hilarious friend 'Bongo Dan'! Not a single guest wasn't up and dancing with a grin!
Of course Amanda, her maids, and the two adorable little flowergirls looked divine with make-up by Charlotte Cashmore, and Amanda's incredible Sincerity gown from Wedding World was every girls dream dress, and Simon was a complete gentlemen in assisting his bride with her long train.
This wedding really was a photographers dream. Beautiful surroundings, warm weather, and above all else a genuinely lovely, sweet and fun-loving couple to work with who just wanted to throw the best party possible for their loved ones. Thank you so much Mr and Mrs Edwards for having Birgitta and me, we truly had a wonderful day with you all.
